Hi all, While halfway on a part-family-part-business trip to Europe, my two-year-old LG G4 crapped out on me. It still appears functional though the screen is just darkish with random white lines across it. I am eager to hear if anyone here knows of a trustworthy shop that's able to deal with this. Or do I just toss it and wait for the OnePlus 5 launch event later today? -- Evan Leibovitch Toronto, Canada Em: evan at telly dot org Sk: evanleibovitch Tw: el56

For just a second there, I thought you were talking about /Trusted Android/, like /Trusted Solaris/. If you ever run into such a thing, tell me, I want to buy one (;-)) --dave On 20/06/17 07:52 AM, Evan Leibovitch via talk wrote:

I'm looking for a shop myself. I have a Phoenix 2 with a small crack in the corner of the screen. Clear taped for now. I found these guys but haven't tried them yet. Lots of Toronto locations tho. https://www.ubreakifix.com/ca/lg-repair/lg-g4-repair/lg-g4-diagnostic-servic...

There is a good shop that has space in the Postal Outlet that is on the south side of Finch, about 1km west of Dufferin. Same plaza as Mandarin. -- Stephen

Nice, that's close to me. I'll try that. Thanks! On 20 June 2017 at 10:49, Stephen via talk <talk@gtalug.org> wrote:

I took the repair jobs to the place Stephen recommended and can second his endorsement. Power switch on my Galaxy Note 2 fixed while I waited. Replacement screen/bexel for the G4 fixed overnight. But... doesn't even have his own website! Mobilemaxx 647-885-3448 mobilemaxx5@gmail.com 1027 Finch West @ Dufferin On 20 June 2017 at 10:49, Stephen via talk <talk@gtalug.org> wrote:
