It seems extremely ambitious. And he's not made any announcement on any of the Canadian LUG mailing lists that I'm subscribed to, which makes me feel like outsiders swooping in to lead us all without actually participating in the various communities at all. I really don't know what to think. On one hand, I wish him well in building interest & communities around Linux. On the other hand, who even is he? And, why give him money instead of, say, BCLUG? (BCLUG is listed on his site, but he hasn't reached out that I've seen. No problem there, just ... odd.) I'm waiting for Evan and Kevin's perspective. I should note, there's a thread about this on KWLUG mailing list, since he (Andre?) and Paul had some form of discussion when he contacted Paul.
