Just to clarify we only moderate the first message that is sent so non-related messages don't get sent to the mailing list. One of the moderators forgot to check the "clear moderate" checkbox.

Because of some very unique mail server configs that our members have (i.e. running a mailserver on a dynamic ip address, not having a ptr record, etc.), we can't run most traditional mail server protection.

sharing is caring: you should consider sending that info in the welcome message, so new (welcome and unwelcome peeps) can feel warm and fuzzy the trade off to doing non std spam things is the odd spam, would that be so bad though? I lurked for a while before posting, you guys and gals seem like a very diverse, intelligent and cool community. I am still not sure if I will be a fit (I am very diverse / my degree of diversity may exceed the permit limits), but was planning on having fun in the discovery :) Andre
