Ubuntu bug 825339: Package description doesn’t tell the difference between fglrx and fglrx-updates
Do you remember fglrx? That was AMD/ATI proprietary video driver. In 2011, this bug was reported. It caused problems with system updates. <https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer-updates/+bug/825339> <https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/oneiric/+source/nvidia-common/+bug/873058> Yesterday, the bug status was changed from "confirmed" to "Won't Fix". Bad: that's a long time for addressing a very simple bug. Bad: they didn't fix it Good: they didn't ignore it, after all these years.

Please help me understand how you reached this conclusion. From my perspective this is very much the definition of ignoring it till it became very much irrelevant. Dhaval
