Can anyone recommend a source for Laptop batteries..

I'm looking for recommendations on replacing my T420's battery pack. Either a store, source, particular manufacturer or any experiences would be welcome. -- Thanks Michael Galea

We have bought replacement ThinkPad batteries and A/C adapters from https://www.battdepot.com/ca/ and had good experiences - batteries worked, prices and shipping were fair. Hope that helps - cheers John On Fri, 2022/02/04 05:12:48PM -0500, Michael Galea via talk <talk@gtalug.org> wrote: | I'm looking for recommendations on replacing my T420's battery pack. I bought a low-cost replacement, but have to clean it's contacts every time I power up, sometimes several times. I recommend genuine Lenovo replacements --dave On 2/4/22 17:12, Michael Galea via talk wrote: I'm looking for recommendations on replacing my T420's battery pack. I have just got batteries from amazon. They don't have quite as high a capacity as the original battery did (maybe 75 or 80% would be my guess) but they cost less than half. And at this point I don't think Lenovo even has original batteries for the x10/x20/x30 series anymore. I have never had problems with the contacts on the battery though. -- Len Sorensen

I haven't tried these people myself, but the company name came up in Montreal Linux forum recently. I thought I would pass it along. You have to be without your battery for a few days while it's being rebuilt, but it looks interesting. If you try them, be sure to let us know how it turns out. http://www.chansbattery.ca/ -- Znoteer znoteer@mailbox.org
