I know these devices are popular among our community. https://www.chrisdcmoore.co.uk/post/oneplus-analytics/ It can be disabled with a little work. But another option is to switch to LineageOS. I have an OnePlus 3t, and read the same article earlier today on /r/netsec. I already removed that package on adb shell: pm uninstall -k --user 0 net.oneplus.odm I would change to LineageOS, but I am not certain about the camera quality on it. I need to update myself on the question of camera blobs and modules, so I am currently sticking with the open beta. Daughter's LG Optimus L9 had such spyware. After rooting the phone I found it randomly when trying to figure out the purpose of certain LG apps. I removed it along with 60 other parasitic apps. It was well known on the XDA forum, and no way to remove it without rooting. I didn't know enough at the time to figure out what was being sent back to LG.
