Since then their collective action has come up against corporations and supported the Arab revolutionaries. Coleman will share her story of becoming an Anonymous confidante and interpreter. She talk about the motivations of the group, the many facets of their culture, and the increasing importance of hacker activism more generally. Gabriella (Biella) Coleman holds the Wolfe Chair in Scientific and Technological Literacy at McGill University. Trained as a cultural anthropologist, she researches, writes, and teaches on computer hackers and digital activism.
