Mac's AirDrop ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AirDrop ) is wonderfully simple and quite fast - but only supported on Mac (that I'm aware of). Has anyone tried NitroShare ( https://github.com/nitroshare/nitroshare-desktop ), Dukto ( http://www.msec.it/blog/?page_id=11 ), or any other cross-platform alternatives? Encryption is a requirement, which I think lets Dukto out. I'd consider a Linux-only solution, but would prefer cross-platform.
