(question) how to preserve font in Thunderbird
To those using Thunderbird... Thunderbird is set to use "Variable Width" font and "medium" size. - When I write, it looks like "Noto Serif". - When I see my post, either in "Sent" folder or from GTALUG list, the font is not what I sent out. It looks like some "san serif". And, also, size is not right. So, how do you preserve font/fontsize in Thunderbird? --William

In Settings -> General under Fonts & Colours I have font set to sans-serif and size of 16. Clicking on Advanced settings I have Serif, Sans-serif, and monospace set to Default which is DejaVue Serif, Sans, and Sans Mono respectively. The two Font Control settings are checked. I also have the program set to send email as text and receive as text only. Check what those settings are in your Thunderbird install. Perhaps one of them is all you need to change. I want messages to be sent and received as plain text so I don't care much about the font used for display. -- Cheers!
