I hadn't noticed it change at all over the decades. It did look lonely without thenconfig and elseconfig commands to keep it company somehow. Granted, the ip command on a Linux box has access to a lot more functionality and uses CIDR notation, so navigating one's way through what it does in lieu of proper documentation and learning to use it does pay off. -- Anthony de Boer
