I *think* that one way you can tell is by whether the item is eligible for "Premier" free shipping (Premier is like Amazon Prime) or not. "Yes" strongly suggests inventory in Canada. Sometimes things go out of stock in Canada and then the shipping price goes up a bit and Premier is dropped.
