IMHO BorgBackup is the king of backups for those who are comfortable with the command line. But you need to read the docs.

I've been using it for years, and I am very happy with it, and Borgmatic - a wrapper for BorgBackup that makes quite a few things easier to configure and do with BorgBackup: https://torsion.org/borgmatic/
