Thanks Don. I'm running boot-repair disk now. It has been running a couple hours . Not sure how long is too long before I give up on it. I wish it provided some realtime status. All it has given me is "Applying changes: This may take several minutes". I guess I'll leave it overnight and see what happens. Thanks again for the suggestion.

Did you try Ubuntu's Boot Repair disk? This has helped me on numerous occasions, and not just with Ubuntu.

I'm stuck. I was upgrading from Ubuntu 20.04 to 22.04 and during the install my network stopped working. I believe all packages were downloaded by that point. When I tried rebooting to get back my network (big mistake) I no longer had a working system. Booting into recovery mode I tried finishing the upgrade. For some reason the system doesn't see my /boot/efi partition even though it is mounted. My fstab file looks correct. Below is my screen when I try the upgrade command. Any suggestions what I can try to fix the system or do I need a fresh install. By the way this is dual boot beside Windows which is still working.
