I have a mythtv front-end running on a RP 4-B.
It is OK for my 1080 TV so long as I don't try to run h265 encoded videos.

+1

I do not have any h265 encoded media but what is the issue? (is it slow or
choppy or does it not work at all? - the rb4-b specs says it supports hevc?)

It is slow with lots of pauses depending on the complexity of the images.
I believe that the issue is there is no GPU based decoder for h265 so it falls back to the CPU and that is just not fast enough to do a full 1080P file.
