Well at least for longer cables 10G supposedly requires CAT6A or CAT7. It seems 10G can run on CAT 6 up to 55m, rather than the 100m you can do with the better cables.
I have used MonoPrice CAT6 cabling before and found no issues with their product but I used the traditional thicker cable.
