I have two 43" 4K monitors (not on the same desk) and highly recommend them.
What brand/model?
Do you have a problem with the sides appearing horizontally compressed because of the large horizontal angle?
I'd like to emphasize that when I said "I highly recommend them" that it was a generic statement about large 4K monitors, not these specific ones (although they've been good). With that said ... I have a Philips BDM4350 and a Samsung S43AM702UN (for all the good knowing that will do you). The Philips was made in 2017. It was notorious for ghosting - not permanent, worst case just visible for several minutes. It has a weird feature that allows splitting the screen in two, three, or four parts and using the parts as separate monitors at 1920x1080 for each of the HDMI inputs. That ... worked, but was complex to manage and I haven't attempted it in years. The Samsung was made in 2022. It has a remote, and "smart" power management features that are, inevitably, both stupid and annoying. Despite this, I've still been happy with it. To your last question: no. Can I see the entire screen? Yes, but partially in peripheral vision and I turn my head to look from one side to the other of the monitor. For most people: this will bother you less than you might think. -- Giles https://www.gilesorr.com/ gilesorr@gmail.com
