The NETGEAR AC1450 (which turns into a AC1750 with slight hacking) is not well supported by OpenWRT. Broadcom has not disclosed enough to support 802.11n or ac in open source drivers. It does run DDWRT. I infer from some comments on the internet that the factory firmware is a variant of OpenWRT. How annoying.
