I second google keep, but I trust it way more with my data ignoring the uneasy feeling that it might be exposed. A linux friendly solution would be to host your own git repository or use unison -- the problem really starts with android and web-browser friendly solutions. For git -- there are plenty of frontend, you can just get a paid github account, or set up your own gitlab instance. I'm not aware of any frontends to unison. Another alternative -- ownCloud. This is probably what you want, but you need to set up your own PHP webserver, which is a pain. I think they might have a docker image for that. I've set it myOwnCloud once, but I wanted to use it under different circumstances -- desktop sync, for which it was too slow. I was wondering if there are any Linux-friendly alternatives to Evernote that members of this forum would recommend? Ideally, I would want "cloud" access so I can add notes both from an Android app and from a web browser app. There are other features, like image capture, which would be nice but I know that can be replicated in other ways. The caveat would be that my information is encrypted or secured from the issue above. Is this even possible?
