Well if a package is there, and currently works, and people are using it, why remove it? Now if it is actually broken or causing issues, then doing something about it becomes necesary and is sometimes done. A package does not have to be the latest version to be useful, since after all someone thought it was useful when it was new. Not everyone follows the principle of "If it isn't broken, change it until it is". -- Len Sorensen
