Chapters/Indigo has always been horrible for anything programming related unless you want to teach yourself C++ in 21 days.
I found the Library a better resource for programming books.
My Linux journey began 14 years ago with a visit to Chapters and the "Linux Desktop Starter Kit" by John Lathrop. Fun times.
