I don't see anything that would make me change from the default on my desktop, Gnome Terminal. (I lean towards using defaults because of the "pick your fights" principle.)
The "pick your fights" principle is *everything*. It's so important, and so rarely understood or employed. Congratulations on making us all conscious of this principle: The more you speak of this principle, the more good you're doing humanity. I'm not kidding; yes, it's *that* important, and not just in technology. I use a different word for it. I speak of "priorities" or "prioritization". Such a huge segment of humanity doesn't realize that if everything's important, nothing's important. We all have different priorities.
