Just when I sent the question, the Roger's tech returned..with an HDMI to red /white/ yellow digital adapter. plugged everything into the back of my still hard working Toshiba older set and ta-da! now I need another set of good quality red white yellow digital cable to run the setup sound into my surround sound!
