Good points. I'd lightly tested on another list and was kind of awaiting any feedback. There were lots of comments explaining the change, but I should've commented out the change until feedback came (or not). It has now been applied. We officially no longer have the code to bridge email <--> NNTP in RAM at all times. And, I see the last message was delivered, so I'd say it's working.
