I have used Yahoo mail, reading through a browser, which seems much less graphics intensive than GMail. The issue is that Yahoo spam control is nowhere near as good. And Yahoo was hacked a few years back. So while the web interface is less graphics intensive, the email functionality is inferior to GMail. I don't know if GMail still has a low graphics link.

I also said that I prefer reading on line, which clearly means not a
client,  regardless of the various concepts comprising low graphics.
I am seeking an alternative e-mail to a gmail address, one from a service
with   an online browser method for reading.
