I am connecting the setup as before, in theory at least. No matter how often I plan, some cable confusion happens, the case here. Add that with each move, I plan for a different room and the need for sighted help becomes a factor too. On Sun, 29 Jun 2025, Lennart Sorensen wrote:

actually..tossing this question out just in case. As shared the rogers tech arrived with an adapter that is using the same red white yellow set of digital cable I used with my bell cable box. My challenge now? getting the sound from my television into the unit I use for surround sound via the audio visual setting of my Sony receiver. I am going to set up something I know works, my VCR, to make certain there is not a different problem. Still what Len said about resolution has me wondering if there might be a sound factor HDMI wise too?
No sound and video are separate so that should not be a problem. I suspect the adapter provided is doing the job.
Are you connecting the receive in a way you had before or is this a new setup you are trying to get working?
