Strange for me, ca.archive.ubuntu.com is resolving to 91.189.88.152 . If I ping us.archive.ubuntu.com it is resolving to 91.189.91.23 which works and is what you are getting for ca.archive.ubuntu.com . Looks like a DNS problem somewhere for me? I am trying to update Ubuntu and all day I have been unable to connect to ca.archive.ubuntu.com <http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com> (resolves to 91.189.88.152) . I can't ping it either. I have no problems pinging us.archive.ubuntu.com <http://us.archive.ubuntu.com> . I assume the Canadian archive is down. Is there a simple way I can use apt-get with us.archive.ubuntu.com <http://us.archive.ubuntu.com> instead of ca.archive.ubuntu.com <http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com> ?
Thanks,
Jim
