It's 4x better than my desktop (in cpu and power consumption). Problem is all my monitors are DVI, so I have to get a new HDMI/DP monitor, which bumps up the price.
DVI and HDMI are the same signal format, just a different connector. Well newer resolutions of course are faster signals on HDMI which DVI displays don't support, they only support the original HDMI speeds. So a simple DVI to HDMI cable is all that is needed. Now dual link DVI (like some 30" displays use) is a different story. HDMI is single link DVI compatible. -- Len Sorensen
