Remember that major major ice storm in perhaps 2016? I lived in a building at that time, when we lost power, everything was gone..save my landline phone. Without it, I could not have left my house, only way to reach wheel-trans. speaking personally,I simply do not understand completely removing such a basic, not tied to easy to interrupt mode of communication.
