I decided it was finally time to get a new laptop after 12 years.
My previous two computers were each used for almost a decade each before I felt it was time to upgrade them.
I used the latest Debian testing installer image. Not sure how well stable would have done,
I tried Debian on a Dell laptop I recently acquired. I need to switch it over to Gnome/MATE style desktop. I am not a fan of the Apple style (LXDE?) type desktop with the program icons at the bottom of the screen. I also installed Linux Mint Debian Edition on the laptop. Everything is working except for the physical right mouse button. I can't get it working. I've tried mouse-tweaks and gnome-tweaks and neither help.
I haven't decided if I will keep the debian install or not
I'm considering going back to straight up Linux Mint. It is morelikley to have both mouse buttons working. I'll have to try booting a live distro to test whether that will allow me to use the RMB. -- Cheers!
