Sounds like a breakdown of the relationship between the recruiter and the employer. Nothing to do with the candidate(s).

The employer states that they have no obligation or reason to provide feedback, engage in further communication, or follow up on the two candidates’ CVs, as stated in their detailed several page rebuttal to a one-page letter sent by the recruitment firm. Yeah, they might be jerks but they probably do not have any obligation to provide feedback.
Consider yourself lucky to have dodged a bullet at an employer one would want to avoid.
