I don't even have a land line any more so I've been using hellofax.com .  I think they allow you to send 10 pages a month for free and it supports things like Google Drive and Dropbox.  I've only used it 3 times now, but it's worked really well and has a really nice interface.

Thanks for the link. It looks very similar to myfax.com, which I've been researching. You can only send 5 pages and receive none on the free plan. Was hoping to avoid the $10/mth, hence my original note. And it would be cool to put to use the old fax modem I've been saving all these years, just in case.

Naturally, cool is in the eye of the beholder :-).
