A brand name ball bearing fan (sleeve bearings don't last long and start vibrating). I discovered the cause of my Dad's noisy machine is actually the power supply fan (after replacing a few of the others). Annoyingly it is soldered in so I guess I will have to cut and splice the wires for a new fan in there.
bigfoot computers has a nice selection of fans and such btw.
