Thanks, but I'd like to point out that bios doesn't detect hardrive on the boot whatsoever, so copying data over cannot happen. Further more Im not sure about current linux support for HFS+ file system.

Peter, try using the demo copy of Active Disk Image, and see if it works. I had a similar situation, where I could not get the drive to detect, and this program got it working, and allowed me to copy the entire HD off, sector by sector over a couple of days.
