I have an AMD processor and the noise is not that bad. The motherboard is an old Asus A7V. The motherboard supports fan speed control, but it never actually worked. Asus probably got it working in later versions of the MB. I would like to know what are the thermal solutions for new CPUs having to dissipate 100W of heat.
