music collection to ogg vorbis ?

Hi TLUG, Apple's iTunes on disk insert will play and rip the CDs on to disk at same time. Includes all that nice ID tag data. Unfortunately it does not support encoding in ogg vorbis [1]. What is an efficient way to achieve the ripping (+tag) under Linux? Which Linux music players have the most complete play list functionality?
